About Arran Southall

I’m a Counsellor and Psychotherapist from Northern Ireland now living in Scotland. I work with individuals and couples.

Therapy is an investment in yourself and can enable great change in your life. It would be my privilege to support you in whatever challenge you are facing.

I see clients in-person at my home office in Paisley. Additionally, I work online with anyone in the UK.

Before accruing thousands of hours of experience across 4 years of practice, I graduated with distinction as joint top student from the University of Strathclyde Counselling & Psychotherapy MSc programme.

Beyond my Masters degree, my qualifications include a COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate and an ACTO Online & Telephone Counselling Certificate. I am currently completing a Certificate in Couples Work.

When I’m not working as a Therapist I enjoy wild swimming, hill walking and making music.

Testimonials

Arran is smart, articulate and helpful in a way that opened up exploration of what I brought. His perspective was offered openly and freely in an eloquent and succinct way.

I was nervous when we began working together. But Arran’s warm, welcoming presence put me at ease and allowed me to use my sessions to their full potential.

From the moment we began, I felt Arran was approachable, genuine and honest. His responses were considered and worthwhile. He stayed with me during the hard stuff.

Relief is what I felt when Arran was willing to receive and respond to my humour during our sessions. I can remember sitting in comfortable silence with him as well.

Arran has a warm approach and welcomed my feelings unconditionally. You can trust him to hold himself to a high standard.

Confidentiality was key for me; Arran took great care to share its importance. This made me feel safe. Arran practices in a very ethical way.
